Mission:

The mission of F3 is to plant, grow and serve small workout groups for the invigoration of male community leadership.

F3 Intro

F3 — our three Fs stand for Fitness, Fellowship and Faith — traces its roots to a free, participant-led boot camp workout held on Saturday mornings at a Charlotte, N.C., park since 2006. The leaders of F3 launched their first Saturday workout on 1/1/11, on the campus of A.G. Middle School in Charlotte.

ENC Crossbones was started by The Closed Hand in the Summer of 2014 with weekly workouts on Saturdays. Early 2015, The Closed Hand heard of Papa Smurf who was organizing workouts on Monday, Wednesday, and Fridays. The two got together, then contacted F3 Nation and were launched by F3 Raleigh on Saturday, February 21, 2015. On Saturday, July 30, 2016 at our Second Annual Sasquatch (home grown CSAUP), OBT declared us a Region.  Then in August of 2017 the ENC men made their way to the Waterfront in Washington where F3 Washington NC was born!

Exicon and Lexicon

Workout Information

Exicon:

Trying to make sense of the exercises you may hear called at an F3 bootcamp? Need something new for your first or 100th Q? You’ve found the place. (You also may want to consult The Lexicon, at least after your first workout, to make sense of what just happened.)

Lexicon:

For FNGs, the swirl of inside-baseball lingo and jargon used at your average F3 workout can be a bit confusing. Like, for instance, What’s an FNG and why do people keep calling me that? (FNG stands for Friendly New Guy, or something along those lines… )

The F3 Lexicon is intended to help in that regard, providing a scattershot listing of lingo, sayings, expressions, acronyms, etc., that may come in handy when reading a BackBlast (“A writeup of what happened on a workout”) or attempting to decipher an email from a QIC (“The leader of a given workout”).
